NOTE: Many of our camps will become waitlisted, but please don't hesitate to register for the ones you would prefer. Families change their plans, and there's a chance you could get a spot! Thank you!

Creek Discover Camp

Church of the Apostles, Fairhope, AL
Ages 3-4

Discovering the cool, freshwater creek is so exciting! This shady creek is the perfect place to build sandcastles and catch minnows, salamanders, and frogs! We will also learn about the local plants and animals, make nature art, sing songs, read stories, and play lots of fun games. Each week will have a different theme.
​
Enrollment requirements:
  • Children must be proficient with toileting. They know when they need to go to the bathroom and can communicate that.
  • Because we learn in an outdoor classroom without walls, children must be able to stay with the group and follow instructions most of the time.
  • *Children must turn three by March 1st, 2022.

Creek Explore Camp

We will learn about the local plants and animals, make nature art, read stories, and play lots of fun games. Each week will have a different theme.

By the Bay Camp

Location: Fairhope area, Trinity Church
Ages 6-12
9am-2pm

The bay is the best place to explore and play during the summertime! We will spend our days swimming, exploring the shoreline and freshwater creeks, catching and learning about marine life by using cast nets and seine nets, creating art out of natural clay, and playing lots of games.

Creek Adventure Camp

Let's go on a creek adventure! We will explore the cool, freshwater creek, where we can build pools and dams with the rocks. This is the perfect place to catch minnows, salamanders, and frogs! We will learn about the local plants and animals, make nature art, and play lots of fun games.

Fishing Camp 

Location: Drop-off/Pick-up at the Various Fishing Sites in the Fairhope area (no more than 15 min drive from downtown Fairhope)
Ages: 7-10
9am-2pm
$300/week (Please read Payment Policy at bottom of page)

 

Have fun fishing with friends in our local waterways! We will explore the different ways to fish in both fresh and saltwater (catch and release). Learn about knot tying and when to use different types of bait (live, lures, and flies). Fisherkids of all skill levels is welcome!

 

Please bring your own fishing rod(s). Tackle and other fishing supplies will be provided.

Survival Camp

Location: Church of the Apostles, Fairhope, AL
Ages 8-12

This camp will be a fun adventure of learning survival skills in a diverse, wilderness environment. Activities will include compass/orienteering, fire making, foraging, fishing, shelter building, wilderness first aid, identifying hazardous plants and animals, and more! The camp will be held right next to a creek, so we will also be going on creek adventures!

Nature Art & Theatre Camp

Location: Church of the Apostles, Fairhope, AL

Ages 8-12

9am-2pm

Calling all kids who love to be creative! Join us in making nature art projects, playing theater games, creating skits, and exploring the creek. The week will culminate with a fun theater performance for all of our camp families and friends.

Living on the Land Camp

Church of the Apostles, Fairhope, AL
Ages 8-12

Join us for a fun week of learning how to live on the land! We will learn homesteading skills and crafts such as foraging, gardening, churning butter, caring for farm animals, weaving baskets, and cooking over a fire. Camp will be held right next to a creek, so we will also go on creek adventures!

Payment and Cancellation Policy

A $100 non-refundable deposit is due to secure your child's spot in each camp session week that is registered for. Your remaining balance is due in full by May 1st, 2022.

 

Cancellation requests must be made on or before May 15, 2022, in order to receive a full refund minus the deposit. Any cancellation requests made after May 15, 2022, and up to two weeks before the start of camp will be refunded in the form of a Nature Connect credit to use on a future program. Cancellations made less than two weeks before the start of camp will not receive a refund or credit. 

​

If Nature Connect cancels a camp session for any reason, you will receive a 100% refund.

​

Please understand that our camps are kept small to facilitate learning, and many fill up quickly. Last-minute cancellations keep other kids from enjoying our camps. Thank you for your understanding.

​

If your child is unable to attend camp, please consider converting all or part of your tuition into a donation or scholarship to assist families in need. 

​
